Starr Funderberg is a dedicated homeschool mother of four, wife, and community leader whose work bridges family, culture, and empowerment. With a strong background in public relations and community engagement, Starr has helped dozens of Black-owned businesses and organizations build their brands, strengthen their public image, and expand their capacity.

While living in Charlotte, North Carolina, she hosted a Juneteenth celebration that drew more than 5,000 residents, vendors, artists, and performers. Now rooted in Buffalo, she continues to champion Black excellence and sustainability, lending her expertise to initiatives like Buffalo’s long-standing Juneteenth Festival and beyond.
