Mustafa Faruki is an architect, educator, and writer whose work bridges design, history, and critical representation. He has served as a Visiting Lecturer at Cornell University’s College of Art, Architecture & Planning, where he advised B.Arch and M.Arch thesis students, and has also previously taught at Columbia University GSAPP, the University at Buffalo, Carleton University, and CUNY Hunter College. Faruki’s teaching and practice explore architecture through humanistic inquiry, media, and speculative representation, with studios and seminars ranging from engaged housing proposals to explorations of memory, critique, and cultural production.

His drawings and projects have been exhibited internationally, including at MoMA, The Drawing Center, Storefront for Art and Architecture, and the XXII Triennale di Milano, and his work is held in the permanent collection of MoMA. A recipient of fellowships and residencies from the Architectural League of New York, the Institute for Public Architecture, and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, among others, he has also published widely in journals and books such as Perspecta, the Journal of Architectural Education, and Broken Nature. Faruki holds an M.Arch and BA in Architecture from Columbia University and an MA in History of Art from SOAS, University of London.
